Enabling large-scale uptake of digital innovation for active and healthy ageing
Active and healthy ageing is both a societal challenge and an opportunity for all European countries. Europe is seeking to establish itself as a global leader that can provide innovative solutions in the field of again, and thereby achieve a ‘triple win’ for the continent.
Anyone interested in active and healthy ageing in Europe should seek to join the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIPonAHA). This lively partnership has been running since 2011, when it was the first partnership of this type launched by the European Commission. The partnership is the umbrella platform for many different activities: action groups; regional Reference Sites/good practices; a Blueprint strategy for important new directions for digital transformation; and a focus on getting services and goods to market.
WE4AHA is the coordination and support action that supports all the activities of the EIPonAHA.
EHTEL is one of the key partners in this coordination and support action. The association leads the work package on communication and dissemination. Key needs for dissemination include the partnership’s regular annual conference – its Conference of Partners – as well as its myriad other pillars and horizontal actions.
Among the leading lights are the Blueprint (EHTEL was one of its original champions/founders): it has designed a set of personas that illustrate people’s experiences of active and healthy living and how digital can help. The next step will be a collection of meaningful and impactful user scenarios. Important too – for EHTEL members – is the work of the regional Reference Sites. EHTEL ensures that all the project partners meet regularly to decide on important EIPonAHA communication messages and leads a set of conference calls twice a month.
If you are interested in becoming a key player in driving regional innovation in active and healthy ageing across Europe, learn more about the 3rd Call for Reference Sites. The deadline to apply is 15th July!
This project received EU funding.
