DESCRIPTION: XX European Patients’ Rights Day: “Empowered citizens, personalised care: a new era for prevention in Europe”\nOn 12 May 2026, the 20th edition of the European Patients’ Rights Day will take place at the European Parliament in Brussels, with the possibility to join online.&nbsp;Participation is subject to mandatory registration.\nThis milestone edition will focus on a key and timely priority for Europe’s health systems: personalised prevention.&nbsp;\nPersonalised prevention represents a transformative opportunity to improve health outcomes, support earlier diagnosis, and build more sustainable and resilient healthcare systems.&nbsp;This year’s event will also highlight personalised prevention as a fundamental component of patients’ rights, building on the Right to Preventive Measures outlined in the European Charter of Patients’ Rights.\nThe discussion will address key enabling factors, including health literacy, data protection, trust, equity of access, and citizen engagement.
