The opportunities offered by data and digital health are multiplying. While barriers remain to unlocking their full potential, we are at an unprecedented moment of change. The European Health Data Space and the AI Act hold the promise of shaping a digital ecosystem that can accelerate the shift towards patient-centred, outcomes-focused, and sustainable healthcare in Europe, and improve patient safety and reduce avoidable harm.

The EU Health Coalition, a multi-stakeholder initiative representing 49 organisations from across the healthcare sector, was created following the first-ever EU Health Summit, in November 2018. You can find out more information about the EU Health Coalition, its positions and EHTEL's affiliation to it here.

In the first session, speakers from leading organisations - representing patients, health managers, digital health professionals and European regions - will share tested pan-European initiatives advancing these four core elements and discuss how these can be scaled at health systems level for the benefit of European patients and societies.

In the second session, policymakers and healthcare stakeholders will take stock of progress made to date, reflect on the lessons learned in shaping new regulations, and discuss key opportunities and challenges ahead.
