A new year offers an opportunity to look forward as well as back.
2020 provides the chance to reflect on a year’s work but also on work spread over an entire decade.
Looking back to EHTEL’s launch in 1999: How much did we foresee the current impact of disruptive, digital transformation and change? To what extent did we foresee health care and social care coming together? How did we see people’s ability to self-manage their health and care conditions? How much did we see beyond the use of databases and electronic health records. While we certainly aimed for multi-stakeholder activities and relations, how rich was the resulting ecosystem?
The new decade will surely bring many rapid and wide-ranging developments in digital health and care. This is why we want to encourage you to start the year by continuing to imagine 2029. And we want to be able to do this together, with all our members and more!
As a result, EHTEL’s planning for its new thrust and a well-filled calendar of 12 months of activities will follow in early January 2020. Our in-depth Symposium report will also help to support these ambitions.
|Meanwhile, we wish you all very happy holidays. Let’s grasp the opportunity to come back
together, refreshed and re-energised, in 2020, with our new imaginative future
