AI Friendly environment - Primary use of health data
As part of an AI friendly environment, the primary interactions involving health data may become the most important place for enabling the generation of knowledge and wisdom in health and care. Data sharing and collaborative EHRs help to validate the content and the quality of data. Hence the access to health and care for all actors is of crucial importance.
To transform data into information and knowledge, structured and coding friendly documentation is a key enabler for AI with many implications; hence payers may want to incentivise documentation that enables coding and natural language processing.
The usefulness of clinical content is therefore a strong endorsement for standards, interoperability and clinical building blocks.
