Virtual workshop

IoT Week 2021 is a 5 day virtual conference where leaders from the business, tech and science will discuss on the future of Internet of Thing and its impact on business and life

The Internet of Things promises to facilitate great leaps in our efforts to transform our places and spaces, from homes and offices to entire cities, into sustainable environments.

If IoT technologies build on not only established technology, but also new capabilities in the backend, such as artificial intelligence, deep semantic interoperability and novel contractual arrangements like Blockchains, they will undoubtedly bring fundamental change to all sectors of activity, improving the way we live and work.

In other words, IoT is likely to be an essential element of the Next Generation Internet, setting the groundwork for systems and devices of the future.

Two sessions on eHealth will be held:

AI and European Health Data Space as drivers for sustainable and innovative Health and Social Care Services by Health & Care Cluster

During this session, the existing Large-Scale Pilots from the Health and Care Cluster will provide an overview of how they are setting the scene for the deployment of scalable solutions. In this context, the aim will be to enable the development of sustainable solutions for innovative health and social care services enabled by transformational digital technologies and, likewise, how the involved institutions are considering the European Health Data Space initiative within their pilots.

- Towards the full scale deployment of IoT for Active Ageing and Health

The main topic of the Session is the analysis and evidence of the ways, from “pilot mode” to real market full deployment, of usable sustainable IoT for active ageing solutions. The session intends to showcase “after ACTIVAGE” fully commercial business cases, discuss on opportunities and new demands raised by the COVID-19 pandemic, financial sources for deployment projects, and the initiative launched by ACTIVAGE project through ACTIVAGE.ORG for the replication of IoT for active ageing.
