On 30 April 2026 the xShare project re-launched the Yellow Button Open call, an opportunity for all innovators to test and integrate the xShare Yellow Button: a one-click solution that empowers individuals to securely share their health data across systems, in line with the vision of the European Health Data Space.

The xShare project invites EHR vendors, app developers, healthcare providers, and other ecosystem actors to bring this concept into real-world use cases. If accepted, selected participants will have up to twelve weeks to develop, test and implement their solutions that demonstrate how one-time, user-controlled health data sharing can improve care delivery. The deadline for proposals is 29 May 2026. More information is available on the xShare website.

On 15 May 2026 all interested parties are invited to join a webinar to discuss the Yellow Button Open Call, and to have their questions answered.
