The European Health Management Conference (EHMC) 2027 will take place on 9 - 11 June 2027 in Bilbao, Spain. EHMC is the leading forum for institutions, researchers, and practitioners to share insights, real-world experiences, and skills in health management.
The conference provides a valuable platform for international experts to engage in meaningful discussions, elevate their voices, and inform policy at the regional, national, and European levels. It will bring together key representatives from the full health ecosystem to debate and find implementable solutions to the most pressing issues in health management.
Transformation does not automatically lead to better healthcare. EHMC 2027 will explore what it takes to manage transformation well: how policy, evidence and innovation can be translated into operational reality; how people and organisations can be engaged and supported through transition; and how change can be implemented and sustained in ways that improve health outcomes, working conditions, access, quality, efficiency and resilience.
The conference programme will be articulated around five tracks that reflect the holistic practice of health management:
- Governance, leadership and social responsibility
- Management, operations and practice
- Human capital, professionalism and people management
- Finance and economics
- Policy and regulations
The Call for Abstracts is now open! EHMC welcomes submissions for abstract presentations or posters that address one of the conference tracks. Research is vital to identify, discuss, and overcome current and future challenges in health management and design solutions for innovative health ecosystems.
Deadline for submitting abstracts is Monday, 30 November 2026 at 10 : 00 CET. Learn more about the call for abstracts here.
