The EQUICARES project aims to make mental health in Europe more equitable, inclusive, and effective with a particular focus for people in vulnerable, marginalised situations – hence EHTEL’s commitment to work on inclusiveness through its contributions to EQUICARES.
EQUICARES is a four-year Horizon Europe initiative dedicated to making mental health services across Europe more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable. The project combines innovative research with community-led innovation to ensure mental health support is at reach for everyone.
In its first year, the project was about research, shaping the methodologies, and setting the stage. Now in its second year of activity, EQUICARES is picking up steam. The project is ready to share its inclusive philosophy and participatory tools with its wider network.
Groups working on mental health with a focus on access, equity, and inclusiveness for vulnerable groups are invited to get familiar with, discuss, and collaboratively refine the Levesque Framework, an analytical tool adapted by EQUICARES experts to assess how accessible and equitable mental health services are in reality for people in vulnerable situations. To find out more about the framework, take a look at this EHTEL article here. It particularly highlights how the Levesque Framework can be of use to people interested in digital health.
To begin its second year, EQUICARES is reaching out to stakeholders, policy makers and civil society organisations based in Brussels.
