The Innovation Initiative Task Force works on innovation process management and innovation governance in relation to service innovation in healthcare.
The group has built on a set of good practices and has compared service innovation to technical innovation. As a result, the group has developed a Service Innovation Model that complements the well-known Technology Readiness Model. It has also built a roadmap to support service innovators in managing the whole scaling-up process.
The next topic the Working Group will focus on is Artificial Intelligence, as a means to optimise digitalisation processes in healthcare. The objective will be to exchange practical experience in this domain.
The Innovation Initiative Working Group aims to:
- Support healthcare providers and users in achieving the most benefits from innovative eHealth solutions
- Provide a platform for all participants to work together, learn how to deliver innovative solutions in healthcare through the deployment of information and communication technologies, and share experiences and lessons learned
- Promote the uptake of eHealth-based innovations by healthcare providers and users
The core members of the Innovation Initiative Working Group are innovation agencies, although all EHTEL's Members are invited to join the meetings and interested organisations can apply to participate.
