The EU-funded project EU*US eHealth Work - where EHTEL is a consortium member - will host its Final Conference at MIE 2018 on 25 April. The conference consists of three segments running from 11:00 - 18:00, combining 1) project driven thematic panel on eLearning for Digital Skills in Healthcare, 2) an interactive demonstration session on the major tools developed by the project (HITComp, Online Foundational Curriculum and Interactive Assessment Platform and 3) session fully dedicated to the formal project/work packages i.e for presenting key EU*US eHealth Work milestones.

The MIE scientific program will include the State of the Art in the area. MIE2018 is a joint event with EFMI and SFMI, the Swedish Medical Informatics Society as partners. SFMI will be the organizer of MIE 2018.

MIE2018 is the 29th Medical Informatics Europe conference and marks the 40th anniversary of the MIE conferences, since the first conference in Cambridge UK.

MIE2018 chosen focus is “Building Continents of Knowledge in Oceans of Data: the Future of Co-Created eHealth”, pointing to the broad range of topics in digitizing health care, citizens participation, professional challenges meeting health information technology, data science, population health informatics, learning health systems, connected health and changing health systems. These topics are addressed from the perspectives of citizens, patients and their families, health professionals, service providers, standards developers and policy makers alike. The organization will be much the same as for MIE 2008. It will be a co-arrangement as last time with Vitalis where the participants can select either MIE 2018 or Vitalis sessions.  We hope that MIE 2018 in Göteborg will be a great and memorable event for all of us.
We look forward to seeing you in 2018.

The conference aims to enable close interaction and networking between an international audience of academics, health professionals, patients and industry partners.
